School Media Specialist (Graphic Designer) - BSD 2

The School Social Media Specialist – Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visually engaging, consistent, and high-quality graphic designs that support the school’s branding, communication, and promotional needs across digital and print platforms. This role plays a key part in strengthening the school’s visual identity while reflecting Kinderfield–Highfield values and educational ethos.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Graphic Design & Visual Content: 

  • Design visual materials for school communication channels, including social media, and newsletters

  • Create promotional materials such as brochures, posters, banners, flyers, presentations, and digital advertisements

  • Develop visual assets to support school events, campaigns, and student admissions promotions

  • Ensure all designs consistently follow the school’s branding guidelines, visual standards, and tone

2. Creative Concept & Collaboration : 

  • Collaborate with content creators, photographers, and marketing teams to develop creative concepts

  • Translate creative briefs and communication needs into clear, attractive, and effective design outputs

  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the school’s visual storytelling and brand presence

3. Digital & Print Production : 

  • Prepare design files for digital publishing and printing

  • Ensure accuracy in layout, typography, color usage, image resolution, and overall visual quality

  • Provide basic photo editing and layout adjustments as required

4. Asses & Brand Management : 

  • Organize and maintain design files, templates, and media assets in a structured manner

  • Maintain visual consistency across all school platforms and materials

  • Coordinate with external vendors or printing partners when necessary

  • Uphold school policies, professional standards, and child safeguarding requirements in all visual content

 

Qualifications :

  • Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role (experience in a school or education environment is an advantage)

  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and/or Canva

  • Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual composition

  • Attention to detail and strong aesthetic sense

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines effectively

  • Strong brand awareness and ability to maintain consistency across materials

  • Having a Responsible to Life attitude
