The School Nurse at Kinderfield-Highfield is responsible for promoting, protecting, and maintaining the health and well-being of our students (from early childhood to teenage years) and staff. This role requires a compassionate, alert, and highly responsible professional who can manage the School Health Unit (UKS), provide immediate first aid, and foster a healthy school environment through proactive health education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate and competent first aid treatment (P3K) for illness, accidents, and medical emergencies for students of all age groups and school staff
Manage, maintain, and ensure the cleanliness of the School Health Unit (UKS) room
Monitor, restock, and manage the inventory of medicines, first-aid kits, and school medical equipment, ensuring all supplies are unexpired and safe
Conduct regular, age-appropriate health check-ups for students (e.g., height, weight, basic dental, and vision screenings) and maintain accurate, confidential student health records
Act as the primary contact for parents regarding student health issues and efficiently coordinate referrals to the nearest hospital in critical situations
Educate and promote Clean and Healthy Living Habits (PHBS) and preventive healthcare tailored to different student age groups (from simple hygiene habits for preschoolers to wellness education for teenagers)
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Nursing (Fresh graduates with a strong passion for pediatric care are welcome to apply)
Preferably 1–2 years of experience working in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare facility (Experience in pediatric/children’s care or school nursing is a significant advantage)
Must possess a valid and active STR (Nursing Registration Certificate)
Preferably certified in BTCLS (Basic Trauma Cardiac Life Support) or First Aid Training
Willing to be placed in BSD, Tangerang
Having a Responsible to Life attitude
