Teaching & Learning Specialist (Primary & Secondary)

We are seeking an experienced classroom teacher to join our Head Office Training & Development team as a Training & Learning Specialist. This role is ideal for an educator with strong pedagogical expertise, a reflective and collaborative mindset, and the ability to support and mentor teachers across Primary and Secondary levels through practical, school-based professional learning. Working closely with schools, the Training & Learning Specialist supports the development of shared understanding and consistency in teaching practices, particularly in instruction, assessment, and reporting. Through clear, structured, and thoughtful approaches, the role contributes to strengthening teaching quality while fostering a respectful, supportive, and growth-oriented professional learning culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Needs Analysis : 

  • Identify training and professional development needs through needs assessments, performance data, and stakeholder consultation

  • Analyze skill gaps across academic teams and recommend appropriate learning and development solutions

2. Program Design & Development : 

  • Design and develop structured training programs, learning pathways, and development initiatives covering technical skills, soft skills, and leadership development

  • Create high-quality training materials, including modules, presentations, facilitator guides, handouts, and e-learning content

  • Ensure all training content aligns with organizational goals, competency frameworks, and educational standards

3. Training Delivery & Facilitation : 

  • Facilitate engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid training sessions for teachers and staff

  • Coordinate with internal subject matter experts and external training providers as required

  • Support onboarding and induction training programs

4. Evaluation & Effectiveness Measurement : 

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using participant feedback, assessments, and performance metrics

  • Monitor training participation, learning outcomes, and return on investment (ROI)

  • Continuously improve training programs based on data and feedback

5. Learning Management & Administration : 

  • Manage training schedules, attendance records, and learning documentation

  • Maintain and administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and training databases

  • Ensure compliance with mandatory and regulatory training requirements

6. Learning Culture & Development Initiatives : 

  • Promote and support a culture of continuous learning across the organization

  • Contribute to career development, talent development, and succession planning initiatives

  • Stay up to date with current learning trends, tools, and best practices in education

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field

  • Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience at the Primary and/or Secondary level

  • Strong understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment practices

  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and support teachers with empathy and professionalism

  • Highly organized, structured, and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

  • Collaborative, growth-oriented, and solution-focused mindset

  • Strong working proficiency in English, both written and spoken

  • Experience in designing and delivering training and learning & development programs

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Familiarity with LMS, e-learning tools, and digital learning platforms
